John Boyega as Fontaine
John Boyega, most known for his performance as Finn in the Star Wars sequel trilogy, plays the role of Fontaine in They Cloned Tyrone, the golden grill-clad neighborhood hustler who has no issue with taking down anyone who steps out of line by any means necessary. One of the main protagonists of the film, we see the British actor in a whole new role, showing off his versatility. Boyega's other well-known performances can be seen in films like The Woman King, Pacific Rim Uprising, and Breaking.
Teyonah Parris as Yo-Yo
Yo-Yo is a local sex worker that wants more out of life than turning tricks for her pimp Slick. Looking up to her favorite fictional detective Nancy Drew, Yo-Yo's mystery-solving skills make her an important part of uncovering the cloning conspiracy. Teyonah Parris had her breakout role in the independent film Dear White People before going on to star in series like Survivors Remorse and WandaVision. Parris will be next seen in the upcoming MCU sequel, The Marvels, opposite Brie Larson and Iman Vellani.
Jamie Foxx as Slick Charles
Jamie Foxx has been under the microscope for a while since his mysterious hospitalization and his subsequent time in rehab since April 2023. Before this, Foxx had completed filming for They Cloned Tyrone in which he plays the role of Slick Charles, Yo-Yo's pimp. Slick answers to no man, except for Fontaine who basically runs the futuristic city of Glen. Foxx's career has spanned more than three decades, with some of his most memorable roles including playing the title character in Quentin Tarantino's Django Unchained and starring as Ray Charles in the biopic Ray.
J. Alphonse Nicholson as Isaac
J. Alphonse Nicholson is an American actor and percussionist known for his regular spot on the Starz series P-Valley as well as Just Mercy and Blue Bloods. He plays the part of Issac in They Cloned Tyrone and while Issac is a secondary character, we can expect Nicholson to prove himself a worthy actor beside big names like Boyega and Foxx.
Tamberla Perry as Biddy
Tamberla Perry is known for her role as Tasha Goss in APB, in which she plays a police officer. She also starred in The Tam and Kevin Show and Boss. While Perry's career has been limited to playing secondary characters, never quite making it into the spotlight, it would seem that her role in They Cloned Tyrone may be the perfect opportunity for her to prove that she is more than worthy of taking on a star role as she works alongside renowned actor Jamie Foxx portraying the character named Biddy.
Megan Sousa as Ree-Ree
Megan Sousa is a relatively unknown name in Hollywood. Known for playing the lead role in the 2012 film Zero, Sousa also recently starred in the film Domino: Battle of the Bones in 2021 alongside big names like David Arquette and Snoop Dogg. While she has yet to really break out into her own within Hollywood, starring in this unique Blaxploitation-esque mystery film may just be her chance to stand out among the crowd.
David Alan Grier
David Alan Grier is a well-known actor/comedian who has been working in the film industry for several decades, appearing in films like Dreamgirlsand Streamers, which earned him the Volpi Cup for Best Actor at the Venice Film Festival. Grier also holds a Tony Award for his work on A Soldier's Play making him one of the most decorated Black actors in Hollywood. While his name is on the cast list, there is no name revealed for his character. Needless to say this mystery film is bound to have some even more mysterious characters behind it.
Eric Robinson Jr. as Big Moss
Big Moss may sound like the name for a garden center, but it is the name of Eric Robinson Jr.'s character in this futuristic film. Robinson's filmography has been limited to a few episodes of TV series including The Ms. Pat Show, Power Book II: Ghost and New Amsterdam. Hopefully, his role in They Cloned Tyrone will be larger and show audiences and critics his skills as an actor and break out into larger roles in the future.
Kiefer Sutherland
Aside from Foxx and Boyega, Kiefer Sutherland is the biggest name on the cast list of They Cloned Tyrone. First making a name for himself starring in The Bay Boy, Sutherland went on to star in several successful films including The Lost Boys and, most recently, The Contractor. Sutherland has earned many of his accolades from his popular TV series 24 in which he plays the lead character.
