15 Most Iconic Fashion Moments From Action Movies That Prove Looks Can Kill

Rarely are action movies that are seen as fashion hubs. The audience tends to focus on the mission or the car chases or explosions over a character's lapels or suit. That said, the fashion in an action movie often tells more about the character than how cool they look walking away from an explosion. Action films centered on a rogue agent or spy have different suits or button-up shirts to suit the occasion. For example, James Bond often wears a tailored three-piece suit to blend in at high society functions, while a god like Namor in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever will wear traditional clothing, such as precious stones and jewelry.

Since action films have traditionally revolved around men, other characters often appeal to a man's fantasy. Women often wear bikinis or plunging necklines and somehow manage to run fast in stiletto heels. Sidekicks tend to wear a similar outfit to the hero, while villains wear a monochromatic outfit, signifying their difference from the hero. Still, some action movies like Charlie's Angels or Gunpowder milkshake mock the fashion women wear in a powerful way. Undoubtedly, fashion in action movies is just as important as the explosions.
