There are actors that we could never get tired of watching on-screen no matter how many times we see them. Tom Holland, this generation's Spider-Man, is one of them. Since he was a young boy, Holland has showcased his incredible talent as an actor and continues to shine in the entertainment industry. From dramas to fast-paced action films, he has already created a name for himself in the world of film and has won the hearts of audiences all over the globe.

These days, Holland is best known for his role as Peter Parker in the MCU. His easy-going charm in the massive franchise made him a household name, and he proved his talent as more serious and emotionally demanding roles came his way. In fact, Holland's presence across different streaming platforms cannot be missed. Specifically, on Netflix, you can have yourself a mini Tom Holland marathon if you wish. Here are the Tom Holland movies on Netflix that you should check out if you haven't already.

Uncharted

Nathan Drake is recruited by treasure hunter Victor Sullivan to recover a fortune amassed by Ferdinand Magellan, and lost 500 years ago. Starring Tom Holland, Mark Wahlberg and Antonio Banderas.

Release Date

Rating
PG-13

In 2022, Sony gave us Uncharted, an action-adventure film, based on the video game series of the same name, that follows Victor Sullivan, a treasure hunter played by Mark Wahlberg. When he teams up with Nathan Drake (Holland), a man who knows the ins and outs of the streets, the two begin a journey to uncover a substantial fortune supposedly hidden by famed explorer, Ferdinand Magellan.

Nate and Sully are now in a race against the clock and other greedy hands to get to his prize and come out victorious. Also included in this cast are Antonio Banderas as Santiago, Tati Gabrielle as Braddock, and Sophia Ali as Chloe Frazer.

What Makes It Great

Especially after his years of acting in the MCU, Holland has built a reputation for being an actor who is hands-on with his stunts. Uncharted is one of his purely-action films that showcases his ability to act in spaces outside the MCU. What's more, the film offers a different side we haven't really seen before: where Peter Parker is sweet and a bit of a softie, Nathan Drake is cocky and cool. This thrilling action-adventure is the kind of film that appears to be right up Holland's alley.

3 The Impossible (2012)

Time for one of the best throwbacks in Holland's acting career. The Impossible is a film that follows a family navigating the aftermath of a devastating tsunami that hit the resort they were vacationing in, in Thailand. Based on the thrilling and heart-wrenching true story of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami, The Impossible has Naomi Watts playing the mother and wife, Maria, Ewan McGregor as her husband, Henry, Tom Holland as their oldest son, Lucas, and Samuel Joslin and Oaklee Pendergast as the youngest sons, Thomas and Simon. When the family gets separated from each other, all they have is fate to rely on to (hopefully) reunite in the wake of disaster.

What Makes It Great

The Impossible is one of those movies that will have you simultaneously at the edge of your seat and reaching for your tissues. This film is a stunning tale of resilience, bravery, and the power of family that is easily one of Holland's best projects to date. He and Watts are electric as mother and son and, at just 14 years old, Holland's performance demonstrated an emotional depth beyond his years. If you are looking for an emotional rollercoaster, The Impossible will blow you away.

2 The Devil All the Time (2020)

2020's The Devil All the Time will remain one of the heaviest and darkest films you could watch on Netflix. This film follows a young man who is hellbent on exposing hidden and sinister secrets that have infiltrated the peace of a small community. Starring Holland, Harry Melling, Bill Skarsgård, Robert Pattinson, Sebastian Stan, Riley Keough, and Mia Wasikowska, The Devil All the Time is by no means an easy-going watch, and yet, it remains a must-watch in Holland's filmography.

What Makes It Great

The Devil All the Time is no Spider-Man. However, Holland shines in this film, which is more a testament to his longevity as an actor. Indeed, it was the first time post-MCU debut that audiences got to see Holland prove himself a capable dramatic actor. This film is heavy, after all; the dark subject matter of this movie required demanding and excruciating performances from this cast of actors. Audiences were left disturbed and unnerved. For Holland's movies on Netflix, this one is not one to miss.

1 A Monster Calls (2016)

Holland's role in A Monster Calls is not the kind you'd expect. The 2016 filmfollows a young boy named Conor (Lewis MacDougall), who is left to navigate a life with an ill mother, an absent father, and a grandmother he cannot connect with. However, he does find a friendship with The Monster (Liam Neeson), who visits him one night outside his window. Conor then embarks on a wild adventure, where he discovers the truth surrounding the infinite possibilities of childhood imagination.

What Makes It Great

According to Entertainment Weekly, Holland performed as a stand-in for the monster. This would have been in the early days of career, prior to his MCU debut in Captain America: Civil War. So, although this role is not one where we can really take note of his performance, it still counts, as his physicality would be a defining aspect of his talent. This film is full of fantasy and magic, showcasing a childish wonder that exists in the darker parts of our reality.
