Priscilla Cast and Character Guide

It's almost been a year since we last got to witness Austin Butler's unforgettable performance of the Rock and Roll king, Elvis Presley, in the Baz Luhrmann movie, Elvis. Now that the audience is familiar with the biographical story of the legendary singer, director Sofia Coppola is all set to bring Priscilla Presley's unseen story to life in the A24 film, Priscilla. The film is adapted from the memoir, Elvis and Me, written by Presley herself and Sandra Harmon. Priscilla premiered at the Venice International Film Festival in September 2023 and releases in select theaters on November 3.

Coppola's filmmaking style is quite distinct and impressive; many of her films deal with themes around women's heartbreak, with visuals having more subdued color palettes, characters' fashion sense representing their interiority, and excellent soundtracks establishing tone and atmosphere. All these elements are also included in Priscilla. Notably, however, none of Elvis Presley's music will be featured.

Here's a detailed cast and character guide for Priscilla.

Through the perspective of Cailee Spaeny as Priscilla Presley, audiences bear witness to the glamorous and untold story of her marriage to the famous singer Elvis Presley. She was 14 years old when she first met the musical icon in 1959. Priscilla chronicles their entire love story, from her crush on Elvis to eventually tying the knot, including the ups and downs of their relationship and how ultimately she chooses to live life on her own terms.

A background in theater, Spaeny began doing plays in Springfield Little Theatre. Here, she was once offered the role of Dorothy in a stage adaptation of The Wizard of the Oz. She officially made her feature film debut with Steven S. Deknight's Pacific Rim Uprising. Although Spaeny has a very limited filmography, you'll likely recognize her in Mare of Easttown, The Craft: Legacy, On the Basis of Sex, and Devs. At Priscilla's premiere in Venice, Caeny was honored with the Volpi Cup for Best Actress.

Elordi's career began with humble roots, as initially he served as an extra in the Johnny Depp-led Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (per The Things). He is originally from Australian, but rose to fame with his Hollywood debut in Netflix's romantic comedy, The Kissing Booth, alongside Joey King and Joel Courtney. Elordi played Noah Flynn, a hot-headed and charismatic bad boy, in its three installments. He has also been a part of the Ana De Armas and Ben Affleck-starrer psychological thriller movie Deep Water. He also embodied the aggressive, manipulative, and insecure persona of Nate Jacobs in HBO's hit show, Euphoria.
