57 Seconds is a sci-fi action film based on the story Lucifer by E.C. Tubb. The film is packed with exciting moments that are bound to keep just about anyone entertained. The film, which stars Josh Hutcherson, is about a tech blogger named Franklin Fox. Fox's life gets turned upside down after a peculiar series of events ends with him saving a mysterious tech leader.
What's even stranger is that because Franklin ends up getting involved, it all leads to him obtaining a ring that allows him to go back 57 seconds into the past. With this newfound power comes a whole lot of trouble as Franklin tries to navigate the potentially deadly situation that he's now found himself in.
Franklin ends up encountering a number of interesting characters in the film. So much so that it can be quite tricky to keep track of all of them while watching. To help make things easier for you, Here's a quick roundup of everyone that you'll encounter when watching 57 Seconds.
Josh Hutcherson as Franklin Fox
Franklin Fox is a scrappy tech blogger who's always on the lookout for a good story. That's what brings him to Anton Burrell's event. Fox hopes to sneak into the event and score an interview with the enigmatic tech figure. However, things go awry when Burell gets attacked during the talk. Luckily, Franklin springs into action and ends up saving Burell from a potential assassination attempt.
Josh Hutchersonis an American actor who's best known for his portrayal of Peeta Mellark in the extremely popular Hunger Games franchise. He's also involved in shows such as Ultraman and Future Man.
Morgan Freeman as Anton Burrell
Anton Burell is a visionary tech guru who's behind the groundbreaking company Sci-Trinity. Sci-Trinity is responsible for wearable tech that helps improve an individual's overall health. Aside from this, not much is known about Burell as he's considered to be a rather mysterious figure who tends to be quite elusive.
Morgan Freemanhas had a number of iconic roles throughout his career. He's best known for his work on films like Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby, and Invictus.
Kenneth Kynt Bryan as Dark Man
Not much is known about Dark Man. Throughout the film, the character says and does very little. All we know is that he works closely with Anton Burell and seems to advise them on any and all matters concerning Sci-Trinity.
Kenneth Kynt Bryan is an American actor and international house music recording artist. 57 Seconds is his first major role, but he's also had minor roles in movies such as Renfield, The Lovebirds, and Billionaire Boys Club.
D.A. Obahor as Louie
Louie is the guard in charge of keeping the Sci-Trinity event safe and secure. Louie initially gives Franklin a hard time until Jala jumps in to help out. D.A. Obahoris an American actor who has appeared in a multitude of different movies and shows. Obahor has had roles in The Bricks, The Secrets of Sulphur Springs, and The Thing About Pam.
Lovie Simone as Jala
Jala is an employee at the Sci-Trinity Arena. Franklin meets her when he gets a job at the arena in order to sneak into a Sci-Trinity event wherein Burell is expected to make a huge announcement. Jala and Franklin hit it off almost instantly, as Franklin ends up asking her out on a date. Outside of working at the arena, Jala spends her time creating art as she so happens to be a skilled painter. Lovie Simone is a young actor who's ascending quickly. She's best known for her portrayal of Tabby in the 2020 remake of The Craft.
Mark Jacobson as Andy
Andy helps Franklin sneak into Burrell's talk by swiping one of the bracelets that give you access to the event and handing it off to Franklin right before the talk begins. Andy also hacks the bracelet to ensure that it matches Franklin's DNA. Mark Jacobson is an American actor who has been in a slew of different shows and movies. He's best known for his work on shows like I Am Frankie, The 12 Days of Christmas Eve, and Empty Space.
Greg Germann as Sig Thorenson
Sig Thorenson is the head of a major pharmaceutical company. Given his interest in keeping people sick, he's vehemently opposed to what Anton Burrell and his company are trying to do. Thorenson's company also happens to be responsible for the death of Franklin's twin sister as his company produced the pain medication that she overdosed on.
Greg Germannhas been on a number of shows and films throughout his career. Many of you may recognize him from the long-running medical dramaGrey's Anatomy where he played Dr. Tim Koracick. He's also been on shows such as Ned and Stacey, Once Upon a Time, and Friends from College.
Sammi Rotibi as Calvert
If Sig Thorenson wants something done, Calvert is the man for the job. Calvert is the person assigned to spy on Franklin in order to figure out how he's pulling off his insane feats of luck and chance. Sammi Rotibi plays the role of Calvert in the movie. Outside of 57 Seconds, Rotibi is best known for his work on Tears of the Sun, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the Lord of War.
Bevin Bru as Renee Renzler
Renee Rezler is another of Sig Thorenson's corporate minions. Unlike Calvert, it seems Renee isn't the type to get her hands dirty. However, this doesn't mean that she's harmless as there are very few things she wouldn't do to help out her boss. Bevin Bru plays Renee Renzler in the film. Bru has appeared in a number of different shows and films such as Head Count, Private Sales, and the DC Comics series Batwoman.
Lucius Baston as Sammy
Sammy is the owner of the bar that Sig Thorenson brings Franklin to after Franklin ends up saving his life. Unbeknownst to Franklin, Sig actually set everything up in order to drug Franklin so that he could get compromising photos of him. After Franklin awakens from this incident, Sammy helps get home by assisting him with his car keys.
Lucius Baston has been in a number of different movies and shows. He's best known for his work The Underground Railroad. He's also had minor roles in I'm a Virgo, Stranger Things, and Atlanta.
