Audiences would have never guessed that, in 2001, Fast & Furious was going to become a household name. It seems almost impossible that the franchise has gotten as big as it has; after all, the first film was a straightforward racing action movie. Somehow, the movies have beat the odds and have become one of the biggest multi-billion dollar franchises the world of racing has ever seen. There have been nine films with a tenth film, Fast X, set to premiere in May 2023, and if fans include the Hobbs and Shaw spinoffs, there are technically 11 films in the series.
The little franchise that could may have started off with humble beginnings as a racing movie, but has turned into chaos in the best way possible. Now, Toretto’s crew has evolved to global espionage and adventure, which seems like the films are shooting for the stars. The franchise has had some outlandish on-screen stunts and impossible storylines, but continues to exceed all expectations since it has some of the most amazing ensemble casts out there. Fast X is no different, and has a massive list of characters set to appear.
Jason Statham as Deckard Shaw
Played by Jason Statham, Deckard Shaw became part of Toretto's crew in The Fate of the Furious, which, in turn, gave him his own spin-off in Hobbs & Shaw. Shaw was even given his own post-credit scene in F9 that showed he would once again be joining Dom's crew in Fast X.
Helen Mirren as Queenie Shaw
Deckard Shaw's mother, Queenie Shaw (Helen Mirren), is returning to the Fast & Furious world. This is the fourth appearance in the franchise, with her first film being The Fate of the Furious, when Dom uses her as a proxy to hire her sons Deckard and Owen. She is also the leader of a female militia. Cinema Blend reports that Queenie has a tender moment with Dom in Fast X.
John Cena as Jakob Toretto
Jakob Toretto (John Cena) is the older brother to Mia and Dom Toretto, who hasn't seen his siblings in years. He used to work for Mr. Nobody, but he decided to team up with Cipher to get revenge against his own brother. Dom and Jakob have made amends since the end of F9.
Ludacris as Tej Parker
Tej Parker (Ludacris) is an old friend of Brian's that made his first appearance in the franchise during 2 Fast 2 Furious. He's a mechanic, but also seems to be the team's go-to tech expert throughout multiple films.
Tyrese Gibson as Roman Pearce

Played by Tyrese Gibson, Roman Pearce is Brian's childhood friend in 2 Fast 2 Furious. He's an expert street racer, but is also the chattiest member of the crew. Gibson told Collider that fans should fasten their seatbelts as Fast X is taking their action globally.
Sung Kang as Han
The first ever appearance of Sung Kang's Han was in the third film Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift, where he is killed in a car crash. Any film after the third one is set before the events in Tokyo Drift until Furious 7. Han joined Dom's crew in Fast & Furious and quickly became a fan favorite, which is how Justice for Han became a campaign for the fandom. In F9, it was revealed that Han never died, but actually faked his death to work for Mr. Nobody.
Jordana Brewster as Mia Toretto
Mia (Jordana Brewster) is Dom's little sister and Brian's wife. She tends to stay away from the more intense action ever since she had kids. That said, Mia does have some knowledge about cars, which is why she and Brian had an instant connection. After a break, Mia returned in F9 to help Dom with Jakob, and now fans will see more of her in Fast X.
Michelle Rodriguez as Letty Ortiz
Michelle Rodriguez'sLetty started off in the franchise as Dom's girlfriend and mechanic. She is also one of the top drivers within in Dom's crew. Letty seemed to die in the fourth film, but in Fast and Furious 6, it is revealed that she is still alive and has amnesia. During Furious 7, it is revealed that Dom and Letty are actually married.
Vin Diesel as Dominic Toretto
Dom (Vin Diesel) is the leader of this motley crew of drivers and tech experts. He started as a street-racer in L.A., but has managed to lead his crew to pull off heists and government jobs. Dom seems to have three core values that he models his life afterm which are: family, fast cars, and an ice-cold Corona.
Cardi B as Leysa
Leysa (Cardi B) is an old friend of Dom's and a sister to Cara, who is one of his crew members from Fast & Furious, according to Vulture. She currently runs a female-only band of mercenaries and helps Dom when she can. Leysa also seems to have some sort of connection to Queenie Shaw that hasn't been explored yet.
Scott Eastwood as Eric Reisner (Little Nobody)
Little Nobody (Scott Eastwood) is a law enforcement officer that works for Mr. Nobody as first seen in The Fate of the Furious. He's not quite a friend to Dom's crew as he doesn't approve of their methods, but he does try to work alongside them. Currently, it is unknown what his role will be in Fast X since his boss boarded a planethat crashed.
Michael Rooker as Buddy
Michael Rooker's Buddy was a member of Dom's dad's crew, who took care of Jakob before he decided to take revenge on his brother in F9. He is loyal to the Toretto family, but seems to have a rocky relationship with Dom after he witnessed his dad's horrible death, but does seem to be on better terms with him since he and Jakob worked things out.
Charlize Theron as Cipher
Cipher (Charlize Theron) is a cyberterrorist who has it out for Dom. She is the biggest villain in The Fate of the Furious and helps out Jakob to take revenge on his brother in F9. She continues to elude capture by Dom and his crew and even Mr. Nobody.
Nathalie Emmanuel as Ramsey
Played by Nathalie Emmanuel, Ramsey was kidnaped due to her hacker skills and the creation of her program God's Eye. Dom has kept her around due to her amazing computer skills, and she accepts her status as a full-fledge member in Dom's crew.
Daniela Melchoir as Isabel
Right now, there is not a whole of information on Daniela Melchoir's Isabel other than the fact that she is a Brazilian street racer with a strong tie to Dom's past.
Alan Ritchson as Agent Rimes
Alan Ritchson's Agent Rimes will be Mr. Nobody's replacement as the head of the Agency. Rimes seems to not get along well with Dom and his crew unlike Mr. Nobody, which means Dom's crew has a lot coming their way in Fast X.
Brie Larson as Tess
Brie Larson's Tess is also from the agency, but is a rogue agent that teams up with Dom's crew. Game Rant says that Tess along with Dom's crew will butt heads with the Agency's new leader.
Rita Moreno as Abuelita Toretto
Abuelita Toretto (Rita Moreno) is the grandma to the Toretto siblings. She is supposed to have a vital role in the siblings lives, which, if there is anything we know about the Toretto's, it's how much family means to them.
Jason Momoa as Dante
Dante (Jason Momoa) is an ally of Cipher and the son to the drug lord Hernan Reyes, who was the villain in Fast Five and killed by Hobbs. Dante is out for revenge after the death of his father and will get it by any means necessary.
